Ideal for someone with a wider foot or higher arch, the Comfort Tambo is our only boot available in an X fitting. This style is handcrafted from a single piece of leather in our Adelaide workshop and has a wide chisel square toe, welt comfort rubber sole and a comfort innersole.

Crazy horse leather
A nubuck cowhide leather with a snuffed surface and velvety texture. Infused with a rich blend of oils and waxes during tanning, it offers water resistance and develops a rugged, characterful patina with age and use.
Outsole
Rubber
This durable rubber sole is built to offer increased traction, flexibility and endurance, no matter the elements.
Insole
Texon & Foam
A lightweight foam insole provides ultimate comfort and shock absorption for daily wear.
Welt
Goodyear welt
In this artisanal process, a strip of durable leather is stitched between the upper and sole of the boot, providing a barrier against water and mud whilst making the boot fully repairable.

Care instructions

Suede comes from the inner/under layer of the hide and has a soft, fuzzy nap.

Nubuck comes from the outer/surface layer of the hide and retains a slight grain pattern with a short velvety nap.

Note: for nubuck, crazy horse and distressed leathers the blocking line that runs down the middle of the boot is often more noticeable in oily leathers due to the wax/oil content. The blocking line is a characteristic hallmark of the blocking process, an integral step required to make a boot out of one piece of leather. Due to the individual nature of leather, each hide will block differently, and the appearance of the blocking line differs across all boots and leather types. The blocking line is likely to fade over time (it may not completely go away) but it is a visual sign of quality and should be worn with pride

Protecting

Used regularly, R.M.Williams Suede Protector will create a durable and breathable layer to protect suede and Nubuck leathers from water and stains that occur with regular wear.
- Prior to first wear, spray R.M.Williams Suede Protector onto clean footwear, in one direction, at a distance of 20cm.
- Allow to dry naturally, avoiding direct heat.
- Spraying in the opposite direction, repeat this process for a total of 3 times to ensure maximum coverage.
- Note: be mindful of wearing jeans or trousers that are non-colour fast over lighter coloured suede or nubuck boots as the colour may transfer to the leather.
- Note: we recommend protecting your leather boots with suede protector every 2-3 months, to help maintain and increase longevity of water resistance.

When selecting your size, please note that R.M.Williams boots are crafted using men's UK footwear sizing. Our mens's boots can come in a range of fittings: F, G, H, and X detailed below:

     • F = Narrow
     • G = Regular
     • H = Wide
     • X = Extra Wide

Each fitting within the same size varies by approximately 0.64cm or 1/4” in foot width. To find your ideal fit, please refer to the ‘Width' tab.

Measuring guide

A step by step guide on how to find your perfect size.

Follow these easy steps to get the right size. For the best fit, wear the socks you would usually wear with boots.
Step 1 Place your foot on a piece of paper. Mark the points at the back of the heel & big toe. Use a tape measure to measure the length in-between. This will give you boot size.
Step 2 Measure around your foot at it's widest point (just below the toes). Wrap the tape measure around your foot completely. This will give you your width measurement.
Step 3 Do the same for the other foot.
Step 4 Match the width & length measurements of your larger foot against our size chart. If you're in-between 2 fits or sizes, go with the larger one.
